Organische Photovoltaik Zellen bieten eine Vielzahl neuer Einsatzmöglichkeiten im Innerstädtischen Bereich. Transformierbare Solarschirme aus CFK und Edelstahl schließen sich bei Sturm oder Nacht zusammen und bieten den unter ihnen liegenden Gebäuden Schutz. Am Tag werden diese geöffnet, um möglichst viel Sonne einzufangen und gleichzeitig Schatten zu spenden, sie orientieren sich an der Funktionsweise von Farnen.
